During lockdown last year, my daughter kept asking me to make some hair scrunchies (she is obssessed with all hair accessories). So we ordered some supplies and set about finding a pattern. I found a pattern by Naztazia that looked super cute. They are made using around 45 yards of DK yarn, a 3.75mm crochet hook and a 2” diameter hair elastic.

The scrunchies can be made in lots of different colours and the pattern is easily adjustable for bigger or smaller sized hair elastics. The pattern is simple and easy to make, some parts can be a little fiddly when starting off and depending on how tightly you normally crochet. I usually crochet quite tightly as I make alot of dolls etc, so do not like large gaps. So it was a bit tricky for me at the start but it such an easy pattern to follow and my daughter was made up with all the new scrunchies she now has. I have also made loads for all my nieces. The pattern for these scrunchies can be found here.
